Sell Your Rolex in Newport Beach & Orange County
Your Rolex deserves more than a mail-in envelope. Greenwich Time is a licensed dealer on East Coast Highway in Corona del Mar, minutes from Newport Beach, buying Sport, dress and vintage Rolexes from collectors across Orange County. Send the reference, condition and a few photographs, and a specialist comes back with a firm number within one business day. Accept it and we settle the same day, by wire or check, with no consignment wait and no selling fees.
Why sell to a specialist dealer
Rolex is the deepest market in horology, but it is also the one where sellers most often leave money on the table. Generalist buy-now websites price from an algorithm and build in a wide discount. Marketplace forums take weeks and expose you to strangers, wire fraud and low-ball relisting. A specialist dealer does neither: we price against live comparables for your exact reference and configuration, and we can pay on the spot.
Because we retail every watch we buy, we can pay more than a flipper or exporter. The watch goes straight onto our bench, is photographed, certified and offered in our Corona del Mar vitrine. There is no middle layer taking a second margin, which is precisely why our numbers are hard to beat in Orange County.
How the 24-hour offer works
Start with the form on this page: brand, model and reference, year, whether the box and papers are present, condition, and what you hope to realise. Attach up to six photographs — dial, caseback, clasp and any service paperwork. Most sellers need three minutes.
Within one business day a specialist reviews your details against the current market and sends a firm offer by your preferred channel, email, phone or text. There is no obligation and no fee. Accept, and we settle by wire the same day, or by check at the showroom. Prefer to keep the watch in the family of watches? We will apply the full figure as trade credit against anything in the collection, often a stronger number than cash alone.
What your Rolex is worth
Three things move a Rolex valuation: the reference, the condition, and the completeness. Desirable sport references in steel — Submariner, GMT-Master II, Daytona — hold a firm secondary market, and full sets with box and papers typically add eight to fifteen percent. Condition matters almost as much: unpolished cases with crisp edges command a premium, while over-polish, bracelet stretch and replacement parts come off the number.
Service history helps. A recent service by Rolex or an independent watchmaker, with the invoice, removes doubt and shortens the negotiation. Vintage pieces are judged differently — originality of dial, hands and bezel is worth more than polish. Tell us what you know and we will do the rest; if a detail is missing, the photographs usually answer it.
Serving all of Orange County
Collectors drive to us from Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach and Santa Ana because the process is quick, private and final. Bring the watch to the showroom and we will appraise it while you wait, usually within the hour; book ahead and a specialist will be on the bench for you. If you prefer, we can arrange insured collection from your home or office anywhere in the county.
Everything is handled in-house: no brokers, no consignment unless you ask for it, and no pressure to accept. If our number is not for you, the offer simply expires and the watch never leaves your hands.
