Buyer of fine watches

Luxury Watch Buyer in Corona del Mar

If you are looking to sell a fine watch in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach or anywhere along the California coast, Greenwich Time is the buyer on your side of the table. We have traded authenticated watches since 1998 from our showroom at 2836 East Coast Highway, and we buy directly from owners: one specialist, one firm offer, one settlement. No consignment percentages, no auction reserves, no anonymous portals.

A buyer on the coast since 1998

We have been buying watches from Orange County collectors for more than two decades, through booms, corrections and everything in between. That history matters when you are the seller: our offers are priced against a live read of the market and our own trading record, not a template with a wide safety margin built in.

It also means the transaction is finished properly. Payment is immediate, the paperwork is clean, and if you sell to us again in ten years, you will be dealing with the same bench and the same people.

The brands we buy

We are active buyers of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Omega, Cartier, Panerai, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Grand Seiko, Tudor and Breitling, along with selected independent and vintage pieces. Complications are welcome — chronographs, annual calendars, minute repeaters — as are full sets, service invoices and original receipts, all of which strengthen the number.

If your watch is a brand we do not collect, we will tell you plainly rather than waste your afternoon, and point you to the right kind of buyer.

What affects our number

Reference demand, condition and completeness set the range; originality decides where in the range the offer lands. An unpolished case, a correct dial, a tight bracelet and the original box and papers move a watch to the top of its market. Over-polish, replaced parts and missing paperwork pull it down, and we say so openly rather than discovering it at the counter.

Service history is the quiet multiplier: a recent service with the invoice removes doubt, and doubt is what discounts are made of. Send photographs of the dial, caseback, clasp and any paperwork and we can usually price the piece before you leave the house.

How an appraisal works

Submit the watch through the form on this page, or simply walk into the showroom with it. We examine the piece on our bench, verify the serials, and make a firm offer while you wait, usually within the hour. Accept and we pay by wire or check the same day; decline and there is no fee and no follow-up pressure.

Out-of-town sellers can complete everything remotely: insured, trackable collection arranged from your door, payment released the day the watch arrives and passes inspection.
