Client services
The detail behind the handshake.
How we authenticate, ship, price and protect your data — written plainly, because a five-figure transaction deserves it.
Authenticity guarantee
Every watch offered by Greenwich Time is inspected in-house before it is listed. A certified watchmaker opens the case, verifies the movement and case serials against factory records, times the movement on our bench, and photographs it for the file.
We grade condition honestly — case polish, bracelet stretch, dial originality and service history are all recorded — and every sale includes a written Greenwich Time authentication certificate naming the reference and the inspection date.
If a watch we sell is ever shown not to be authentic, we refund the full purchase price including any sales tax paid, and we cover the cost of returning the piece to us.
Insured shipping & returns
All pieces ship fully insured with a signature required on delivery, dispatched within two business days of cleared payment. Shipping is included in the price you see.
California deliveries are subject to 7.75% state and district sales tax, calculated automatically at checkout. Orders shipping outside California are not charged California tax; any duty or local tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
Returns are accepted within seven days of delivery provided the watch is unworn, complete and accompanied by its certificate. Custom-sourced pieces and completed trade-ins are final.
Privacy
We collect only what is needed to trade a watch with you: your contact details, shipping address, order history, and any photographs you send for a valuation.
Trade-in photographs are stored privately and are visible only to our specialists. We never sell or rent client data, and we do not share your details with third parties except where required to ship and insure your order.
You may ask us to delete your account data at any time by writing to our concierge; order records are retained where tax law requires it.
Terms of sale
Prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed. Placing an offer does not create a binding sale; a sale is formed when we accept your offer or your payment clears.
Orders paid by wire transfer are held for 72 hours pending funds; if the transfer does not arrive within that window the watch returns to the catalogue. Accepted offers are held for 24 hours.
Deposits reserve a piece and are applied to the balance. If a reserved piece is not settled within 14 days we may release the reservation and refund the deposit less any payment-processing costs.
Greenwich Time is an independent dealer and is not affiliated with, or an authorised dealer of, any watch manufacturer named on this site.
