When the Rolex Sea-Dweller reference 16600 was taken out of production at the Rolex facilities in Geneva, many admirers presumably shed a little tear. Rolex announced the Deepsea Sea-Dweller 116660 as the successor of the Sea-Dweller, but many fans of the former model(s) are just more appealing than the new bulky 43mm Deepsea and for a good reason. This model is most faithful to the original form factor of the original sea-dwellers of yesteryear while offering the latest innovations, including Chromalight lume, ceramic bezel, and the Supercase construction. This model has all the calling cards of a future classic.
