Overseas Ref: 4500V/110A-B146 "Chestnut Brown"
This Vacheron Constantin Overseas is an emblematic expression of the 260-year-old Maison. VC's interpretation of the luxury sports watch is a refined, sporty, complex, and traditionally finished masterpiece forged from stainless steel and sized appropriately for the sports luxury segment.
The brown dial of this VC is produced in a silky, sunburst finish, which dances in certain lights. What adds to the uniqueness of this reference is the Chestnut brown dial color. Brown is not a color often visited on steel sports watches, which makes this a unique offering for integrated sports watch enthusiasts. This dial variation was produced for approximately one year, adding to its rarity.
The bracelet of the Overseas is a phenomenal exercise in engineering and finishing. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces of the half maltese cross shape reflects light very differently from a Royal Oak.
THE GENEVA SEAL
The famed Geneva Seal is the official seal of the City and Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. A variation of that seal is used to certify the high-quality standards for timekeeping movements set forth by the inspection office. Each Hallmark of Geneva timepiece is accompanied by an individually numbered certificate of origin certifying that it has passed all the criteria of the Hallmark of Geneva. This certificate includes the applicant's name, the watch's reference number, the movement, the serial number of the case and movement, and a reproduction of the Hallmark of Geneva.
Vacheron Constantin prides itself on not only strictly adhering to the Geneva Hallmark standards but also helping to create a new, more strict set of criteria for certification. Although it is concerned mainly with the finishing and decoration of the watch movement, it is considered a high accolade in the industry. Precision testing, though not mandatory, is an option in the inspection process. An impressive 75% of Vacheron's watches carry the Geneva Hallmark, including this watch.

Founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, the traditional luxury watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin has its origins in the circles of the Geneva Cabinotiers. The "Cabinotiers" worked in the light-flooded "Cabinets" just below the rooftops of the Geneva district of Saint-Gervais and refined the blanks. Down to the present day, the "Atelier Cabinotiers" have produced watches to the highest standards. Vacheron Constantin is the world's oldest watch manufactory, which has been continuously producing since then.
From the beginning, Constantin Vacheron produced high-quality custom-made pocket watches for his customers, among them mostly nobles and kings like Louis XIV, Czar Alexander II and the Czarina, the Maharajah of Patiala and the New York banker Henry Graves Jr.

OUR PERSPECTIVE
My thoughts on the Overseas:
"The Chestnut brown dial of this VC Overseas adds uniqueness and distinction to this reference, as brown is not frequently seen on steel sports watches. This allows collectors to explore color alternatives to blue without sacrificing versatility."
