The Rolex GMT-Master II 126715CHNR is the most opulent version in the current GMT family. This reference is entirely crafted from 18k Everose gold, Rolex’s proprietary rose gold alloy, and has earned the nickname “Tiger Iron” from collectors thanks to its dramatic blend of rich brown and black on the Cerachrom bezel—a visual echo of the semi-precious stone famed for its layered, streaked appearance.
Unveiled in 2018, the 126715CHNR features a 40mm Oyster case, a solid Everose gold Oyster bracelet, and a deep black dial set with Chromalight markers and hands that shine blue in low light for effortless readability. The bezel’s brown and black ceramic is both scratch and fade resistant, while the gold indices on the bezel, hands, and applied markers provide an elevated touch.
Like all modern GMT-Master IIs, it’s equipped with the in-house Caliber 3285. This robust movement delivers a 70-hour power reserve, Parachrom hairspring for precision and resilience, and the convenience of independent local-hour hand adjustment—a traveler’s dream. The 126715CHNR, sometimes affectionately called “Root Beer” for its color palette, brought a contemporary, luxurious interpretation to the vintage brown-bezel GMTs from the 1960s and 1970s.
