The IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph IW3758-03 is a distinguished men’s wristwatch, celebrated for its technical sophistication and classic design. Housed in a 39mm round case—typically crafted from stainless steel or precious metals—the watch features an integrated perpetual calendar, chronograph, moonphase, and four subdials that display the date, day, month, and year. The perpetual calendar automatically adjusts for leap years, requiring no manual correction until 2100. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal and paired with elegant feuille hands. Powered by the IWC caliber 79261 automatic movement, the IW3758-03 combines mechanical complexity with everyday reliability.
History:
Introduced in the late 1980s, the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph IW3758 series marked a milestone in IWC’s history. The perpetual calendar module, developed by master watchmaker Kurt Klaus, was revolutionary for its user-friendly, fully synchronized adjustments—all complications can be set via the crown. The Da Vinci collection itself debuted in 1969, but the perpetual calendar chronograph models became icons in the 1980s and 1990s for their blend of innovation and traditional craftsmanship.
