The history of the Patek Philippe Nautilus is closely linked to the history of another iconic timepiece, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, whose creation in 1972 birthed a new category of luxury wristwatches in stainless steel.Following the growing success of the Royal Oak, Patek Philippe decided that it was time to develop their interpretation of an exclusive sport watch in a nonprecious metal, one that could be worn for daily activity.
For Patek Philippe, this new model had a key role in its overall marketing strategy as it had to refresh the brand image while perpetuating the tradition. The target was represented by dynamic business managers of the new generations.

All of our pre-owned watches have undergone non-invasive mechanical inspections to ensure they are operating correctly and to ensure that they meet our standards of timekeeping and functionality.
Our pre-owned watches, unless stated otherwise, are covered by either a full or a limited twenty-four month warranty. This excludes any and all damage or mechanical failure sustained to the watch due to improper use or incident. Due to their age, some pre-owned watches should not be subjected to the same conditions as when new.
Greenwich Time Assures that every watch sold is 100% verified, authentic, and in perfect working order. Watches include their original box and warranty documents/cards unless specified otherwise. Our ‘pre-owned’ watches are certified authentic, in working condition, and contain no aftermarket parts unless listed otherwise. Should a listing lack the original box, Greenwich Time will provide their signature watch box.
