ABOUT THE WATCH

In 2013 and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of “The Little Prince” book, IWC released this Big Pilot "Le Petit Prince Perpetual Calendar. The immediate allure of this reference and the showpiece of the dial is the moon phase indicator which depicts the "little prince" standing on the moon and gazing up at the stars. This motif is done in solid rose gold against the moon phase wheel.

This design is carried over to the stainless steel rotor, which bears an 18k gold coin inlay depicting the prince.

CONDITION REPORT

This piece is in overall excellent used condition. There are no signs of significant wear or scratches on the case, and the strap is in good condition. During our quality control check, any necessary adjustments were made to ensure the watch was functioning as intended.

THE BRAND

The heritage of IWC is deeply rooted in American pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship. Florentine Ariosto Jones, a watchmaker from Boston, founded the International Watch Company in 1868. The Rauschenbachs, an industrialist family from Schaffhausen, took over the company following Jones’ return to the United States. During its early years, IWC produced pocket watches with a digital “Pallweber” display, as well as wristwatches for women and men.
