Monsieur De Chanel Jump Hour Ref. H6597

Châtelain, a well-known Swiss supplier that works with many brands, makes the case and other components of the Monsieur de Chanel watch. Chanel acquired Châtelain in 1993.

The Monsieur de Chanel watch's jump hour function is unique since it jumps at the same time as the retrograde minutes. This was the subject of a patent. Another patent was obtained for the retrograde minute display, which spans an arc of 240 degrees instead of the customary half-moon shape. This display is also adjustable in both directions, necessitating the development of a microshock system.

The jump hour function is significant and relates to Chanel's fascination with numbers, evident in its perfume line, including the iconic Chanel No. 5.
